Vivian My name is Vivian Quattlebaum and I am a multimedia artist in the Hilton Head Island Artist community for over 30 years - an award winning watercolorist as well as a creator of one-of-a-kind masterpieces of wearable art incorporating mammal bone, local fossils, megalodon shark teeth and precious gem stones of all sizes and shapes. My creations incorporate Native and primitive spiritual practices, combined eloquently with the creative process makes these beautiful, original inspired pieces.

I am a Gold and Silver Smith specializing in wearable art in jewelry - an excavator by nature, fascinated by the outrageous beauty of all that is of the earth. In addition to my years of setting, wrapping and styling works with gemstones - I am captivated by "found" objects such as ancient bone, prehistoric shark and horse teeth, pottery shards and other interesting antiquities of nature from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean surrounding my serene island home; these weathered-by-time objects feel powerful, and invoke in the wearer a primitive yet elegant memory of our connection to the energetic forces of the unseen world, to a time when our jewelry was more than adornment, to an age when it was sacred.

When I am not in my workshop - binding together new pieces of healing, wearable art, you can find me cutting and styling hair out front at A Scissor Wizard, located at 86 Helmsman Way, in Palmetto Bay Marina.
